Katie Mauk
Hello, my name is Katie, and I am one of the owners and founders of Beansprout Academy. I am originally from Ohio, where I studied Early Childhood Education at Bowling Green State University. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandise and Marketing from the Art Institute of Charlotte.
I bring with me over ten years of experience in childcare, having worked with children of all ages. My two children, Maizee and Vinnie, were raised right here at Beansprout Academy from infant through pre-K, and watching them thrive in this environment has been one of my greatest joys as both a parent and an educator.
At Beansprout Academy, our mission is to teach and support children in a way that meets them individually, developmentally, and appropriately for their age. We strongly believe in partnering with families to create smooth transitions and open, ongoing communication. We also recognize the powerful role of play in early learning — it is the foundation for discovery, growth, and imagination. That’s why our program is designed to provide a stimulating, creative environment that embraces the many learning styles of young children, allowing each child to develop and master skills at their own pace.
Owning and leading this child development center has truly been a dream come true for me. I’m honored to welcome your family into ours, and I look forward to building lasting relationships as we share in your child’s journey at Beansprout Academy.
